Decision journal / Oct 4, 2026

Surface first. Underground nonsense later.

Finish the world people can already walk through.

The problem

Expanding terrain or adding caverns can outrun roads, homes and existing work areas.

The choice

Complete surface landscaping, neighborhoods, businesses and infill first.

Why this direction

The website brief preserves this sequencing and the current map boundary.

What it changed

Mining materials, cavern zombies and wider travel remain future concepts.

Later revisions

Later directed work opened a bounded Underworld pilot and connected mining/cart/combat loops. The October 8 roadmap supersedes the original order while retaining surface infill and wider-world ambitions.

This is a concise decision record. It does not invent undocumented alternatives or private reasoning.

Evidence & perspective

  • Daniel’s founder statement and website brief · 2026-10-04 · Founder testimony and requested direction

Public summary follows Daniel’s account. Family testimony is not product verification; sensitive identifying details and unverified medical causation are withheld.

  • Crew, vegetables, breeding and trading checkpoint · 2026-10-04 · Source and test report

Active source development. Local checks and compiled code are separate from a newly published player or a completed live trade.

  • Finite mining and conserved cart cargo · 2026-10-06 · Native development review

Seven material types, depletion, a 24-unit mixed-ore cart, native actions and cold recovery were checked. Mining integration and entrance-threshold defects were repaired. This is not a replenishing-resource or complete crafting system.

  • CH: four original buildings reach the public county · 2026-10-07 · Release acceptance, live link rechecked October 8

CH contains four original exteriors, reuses five scoped building routes, and passed three normal candidate exits with 59 profile files restored. The current Windows download was checked for its exact published size. These are bounded PC checks, not minimum-spec or whole-game acceptance.
