The founder’s purpose

I want to build something that lasts.

Daniel’s account, edited into a public statement with his requested privacy boundaries.

I want to establish a successful AI-assisted game-development studio. I want talented people helping me make games that players love, and a company strong enough to keep doing that work. I am trying to build a durable business.

The reason it matters is also personal. I want ordinary setbacks to stop threatening my family’s necessities. A missed day of work should not mean choosing between food and heat. Decent clothing and a chance at education should not feel out of reach.

I lost my sister in 2022 and my brother later. My sister helped hold the family together. Those losses left children without parents, and financial pressure has narrowed opportunities that should have been open to them. My father needs extensive care following a stroke, and aging relatives have very limited resources. Repeated crises have depleted family savings.

Two vehicle losses and inadequate replacement money left five adults sharing one vehicle, in my account. These are the kinds of practical setbacks I want a stable future to be able to absorb.

My long-term hope is a forever home in Seattle, near Coletta’s close family. Moving away from that support is a last resort, not the life we are trying to build.

The grant would help establish the business. I want to make that business successful enough that an ordinary setback no longer threatens my family’s basic needs.

AI tools have felt like they work with my ADHD rather than against it. That is my own experience. They have helped me turn ideas into things I can inspect, play and improve. The next step is to combine that momentum with experienced people, disciplined production and real player feedback.

The work already exists. So do its unfinished parts. I want to build on it with honesty, care and enough staying power to give both the games and the people behind them a better future.
