An independent game-development story

It started with an
ice cream cone.
It got out of hand.

Three games. A growing world. A very unreasonable number of ideas.

Since the first documentary checkpoint

The county kept growing.

October 9–13: original kitchen furniture, 65 released building designs, Danny’s fifth farm and a growing county.

The portfolio / in order of escalation

One idea grew
into a whole county.

No prior coding, animation or 3D-modeling experience, according to Daniel. Human direction, AI assistance, repeated tests—and real unfinished work.

The story behind the screenshots

The plot thickens.
Then requires a graphics card.

From a real iPhone playtest to skunk farms, difficult roads, save systems, original building reviews and a larger studio ambition. Follow the choices, changed minds and stubborn bugs.

“Pretty cute
and pretty fun.”

Daniel’s recorded reaction to playing the early Scoop Riot browser game on his iPhone. A player observation—not an App Store launch.

Playable archaeology

The evidence
has a play button.

Real artifacts. Real captures. Status labels that mean what they say.

Start with newly recorded Scoop Riot practice. County now also has authentic October 6–7 cavern and original-building development images. A freshly recorded native gameplay video remains a gap.

Watch the preserved build

New recording of unchanged preserved browser artifact. Build date: approximate September 2026 edition. Recorded Oct 4, 2026. Audio excluded. Silent canvas recording; the surrounding HTML score and controls are not part of the video.

Practice mode: scoops move above a cone. Repeated player inputs release them. Centered drops stack; missed drops reset the practice attempt. Successful catches display neon and rainbow effects. The visible game HUD reached five scoops and three practice catches. This is newly recorded archived-build play, not original September footage.

The studio we intend to build

Less repetitive busywork.
More people making
the weird parts good.

A professional AI-assisted game studio—with human taste, technical judgment and games players want to return to.

The tools are part of the approach. The portfolio, the testing and the work still to do are the case for support.
