Danny’s Neon Acres
Start a farm, deliver goods, hire a crew and defend your yard. The front and back gates open and close; leaving one open lets trouble in. This is the basic playable Unreal preview, with the larger world still in development.
Start the Unreal preview on Windows
- Download and extract the entire Unreal ZIP.
- Open its Windows folder and run
SkunkCountyBenchmark.exe. - The launcher selects DirectX 11. Press F6 for Minimum graphics on a lower-powered PC; the setting is saved on that computer.
F5 saves; Esc saves and quits. H opens or closes a nearby gate. Keep every extracted folder together. Unreal and Unity use separate saves. This download does not replace Unity.
Planting update: Click Planting Mode (or press P) for a sky view. Select a numbered pot card to queue a planting job; the markers show its matching pot. Return to Danny keeps queued work. Movement or jump briefly pauses the queue. Start with terra cotta pots, then earn glazed and decorative upgrades with shorter growth times and improved harvests. Upgrade prices and benefits appear in the planting panel.
Performance: Targets 30 FPS. On our reference Windows desktop this build's worst frame across a measured 90-second run was 34 ms. Laptop performance is not yet optimised or validated: the same build on our test laptop showed occasional frames up to 66 ms, so laptop play is not yet stutter-free and is still being improved. Keyboard and mouse are supported; controllers are not supported in this preview.
